Reviive pledge continued support for Foundation students’ pop-up shop
Resale and recycling social enterprise Reviive, part of The Wrekin Housing Group, has pledged its ongoing support for Telford College’s Foundation students.
Products are chosen by the students for the college’s pop-up shop, which is also run exclusively by them and is located at the heart of college campus.
The college’s Foundation department is aimed at young people predominantly in the 16-19 age bracket with special education needs (SEN). As outlined by the SEN code of practice the students work on a bespoke curriculum to enable them to access one if not all of the four Pathways for Adulthood; they include: Independent (or supported) Living, Good Health, Community Participation and Employment or Further Education.
Julian Price, MD at Reviive, said: “We first supported this project last year and will continue to do so indefinitely, with the aim of students visiting our Shrewsbury outlet to pick and choose the products for their shop on a regular basis. We hope that our contribution helps them to gain an understanding of retail and the confidence to deal with the outside world.”
