Birmingham date added as writing course with Sunday Times bestselling author Mike Gayle sells out
People interested in becoming writers or those who are on the right path but need some inspiration, are invited to attend a specialist one day workshop in Birmingham.
Taking place on Saturday 11 February at The Birmingham and Midland Institute, the course is being run by Sunday Times bestselling author Mike Gayle. Previously a journalist and agony uncle his 17 novels, which include My Legendary Girlfriend, Mr Commitment and his latest Half A World Away, have all been translated into over thirty languages. Mike has also been a judge for several showcase book publishing events including the Betty Trask Prize and Awards, the Costa Book Awards and the WH Smith Literary Award.
His one-day course for adults will look at:
- How to generate and develop ideas like a professional writer
- Creating ‘log lines’ (a story in a sentence)
- Understanding story structure and
- How to avoid the common pitfalls.
